Nexans Aurora heading for Norway for outfitting

Nexans Aurora departs Poland today

Nexans Aurora will leave Crist Shipyard in Gdynia today, heading for Ulsteinvik and Ulstein Shipyard in Norway for further and final outfitting. Nexans Aurora, designated ST-297 CLV, has main dimensions 150 x 31m and will be fitted with a deck-mounted concentric carousel-in-carousel with a cable carrying capacity of 10000 tons and two firing lines for deepwater cable laying. ST-297 CLV is one of the largest ships designed by Skipsteknisk until now and the first bespoke cable layer design for power cables.

Planned delivery of the vessel is Q2 2021.
