"Bibby Topaz", designated ST-256L, is a purpose built DP2 / DSV / ROV / Survey vessel designed by Skipsteknisk AS, and built at Bergen Group Fosen for owner Volstad Maritime. Delivered in 2008.

The vessel is specially designed for operation under severe weather conditions and with high maneuverability and station keeping capabilities.

The vessel is outfitted and prepared for the following duties:

  • DSV operations with double set of moon pools and twin diving bells
  • ROV operations like pipeline / route survey
  • Sub-sea installation works
  • Geo-technical survey
  • Module handling
  • Crane operations
  • Aux. crane of 10 tons at 18 meters
