The new RV Tom Crean handed over to Marine Institute, Ireland

The new fishery and oceanographic research vessel "Tom Crean" was haneded over to the Marine Institute in Ireland, 15th July.

The research vessel is of ST-366 design, especially developed to meet the requirements of the Institute. The vessel has a lenght of 52.8 m and a beam of 14.0 m. The vessel is built according to the underwater noise standard ICES 209 and is classified by Lloyds Register of Shipping. The vessel is built by Astilleros Armon in Vigo, Spain.

Skipsteknisk AS has delivered complete design documentation and also carried out building supervision on behalf of the Marine Institute.
