Nexans Electra Christening Ceremony

Last week, on May 28., the Nexans Electra was christened at Ulstein Verft in Norway. The christening was carried out by three godmothers, and the bottle broke on the second attempt.

This was the second vessel designed by ST and built by Ulstein verft for Nexans.

The Nexans Electra is the next-generation CLV designed for offshore wind farms, interconnectors and deep-sea electrification projects. It has a total cable capacity of 13,500 tonnes, distributed across three turntables, and can lay up to four cables simultaneously.
