The prize goes to REM Offshore, Skipsteknisk and Myklebust Verft.Rem Pioneer is a dual-fuel vessel capable of operating on methanol when required. With methanol tank capacity of 1000 m³, the vessel has the potential for zero-emission operation when running on green methanol.The ST-245 ESCV design accommodating 1208 crew members and project personnel, is 116.5-metre-long and 23-metre-wide vessel features a substantial 1,400 m² working deck and is equipped with a 250-tonne electrically powered offshore crane. The crane is capable of regenerating energy back into the vessel's battery system during operations. This week, the heavy-lift ship "Seaway Osprey" arrived in Norway with the hull of "REM Pioneer" on deck. The hull is Yard no. 82 at Myklebust Verft, in Gursken, Norway. Skipsteknisk AS is proud to announce that the company has been chosen as the designer of a new advanced oceanographic research vessel for the National Academy of Marine Research (NAMR) in Taiwan.
