Skipsteknisk is proud to announce that we will design a next-generation Offshore / Multipurpose tug for Østensjø
This is a completely new Skipsteknisk design, designated ST-933, developed in close cooperation with Østensjø. Throughout the design process, the shared focus has been to create a highly versatile tug capable of performing a wide range of demanding offshore operations, while maintaining exceptionally low emissions and preparing for the transition to alternative fuels. The vessel is methanol-ready and cutting-edge solutions that significantly reduce energy consumption today while ensuring compliance with the demanding future environmental requirements.

With a length of 50 metres, the ST-933 offers a 215 m² open deck, accommodation for up to 14 persons, a bollard pull of 150 tonnes and DPII.
Operational roles for the ST-933 include:
• Offshore construction support
• Offshore terminal and field support / escort duties
• Anchor handling / ocean towing
• Salvage and rescue
• Oil recovery (support role)
• Ship assistance
• Firefighting
• Cargo transfer
The vessels will be built at Astilleros Gondán in Spain, with delivery scheduled for 2028.
